Introducing Laura and the Law

I'm so happy to have David Palmer and Randy Langley by my side.  You may recognize these guys from the White Elephant.  They're both excellent guitarists and it's a pleasure to have the opportunity to have them on board.  Right now we're playing every few weeks at the R and K and at private parties.  We're available as a trio or full band (thanks to Jerry and Kurt).  Give us a call for more booking details.

What's Happening

Been awhile since I've entered any journal information. What's been going on? Well, I've been writing a lot. I've enjoyed playing at the White Elephant and at the Keys Lounge in Fort Worth when in town. I've had a great time performing with John Anderson on keyboards. We recorded an awesome demo in Seattle along with Lizzie Overstreet (yes, the notorious singing daughter) and Ellis Hawes of Pico Sound fame. Lots of music and lots of fun. I enjoyed playing and (more than that) listening to the brilliance of my good friend Buddy Whittington. I'm looking forward to recording this year and playing at least once a week. What is there without music?

Chuckanut Radio Hour

I'm excited to help welcome the Chuckanut Radio Hour to Whatcom Community College's Heiner Auditorium on March 19th. I'll be playing a preshow set from 6:30-7:00 and the show begins at 7:00. I'll perform several numbers during the show. This is a great opportunity to enjoy our local broadcast of skits, quips, poetry, and all fun that the CRH cast is so well-known for. Admission is $5 and proceeds help the college. Ya'll come!

Benefits in June

Check out the photos. We had a wonderful time at Boundary Bay on Friday playing the benefit for the Rainbow Recovery Center, a community based support group for adults with mental illness. Many are homeless and this fundraiser will help with bus passes, meals, and valuable resources. Then off to the Bachman Mansion on Saturday for the Whatcom Humane Society's Hoedown. This was a fundraiser for rescued farm animals. What a great time for a worthy cause. (BTW, Washingtonians CAN boot scoot.)

April Dates

I have several dates coming up soon after this winter slumber. I'll be accompanied by Tom Westerly and Dan Duggin at the Big Rock Cafe on April 1st, with the Bow Diddlers at the Edision on April 3rd, and at Chuckanut Brewery on April 7th with Tom Westerly.
